Adoption Program
Please contact the Bridgeport Animal Shelter at (760) 932-7407 or the Whitmore Animal Shelter at (760) 935-4734 to inquire about animals available for adoption.
Potential adopters interested in adopting a companion animal will be asked to complete an adoption questionnaire for review. Upon adoption approval the following fees will be charged:
| Spayed or neutered animal | = | $15.00 adoption fee (non-refundable) |
| Intact animal | = | $15.00 adoption fee (non-refundable) $40.00 spay/neuter deposit ** |
** Animals that are sterilized within the time-frame given by the department will be issued a refund of the deposit once a sterilization certificate has been presented.
New owners that choose not to spay or neuter their companion after adoption or do not sterilize the pet within the specified time-frame will forfeit their deposit.
