Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness:
The Seven Signs of Terrorism.

The effort to foil a terrorist plot is something communities across the country may soon learn more about.

Below is a video produced by the Michigan State Police called "The Seven Signs of Terrorism."

The tape was originally sent out to Michigan State Police and then to students.

But the response by community groups that have seen the tape has been so good, authorities are trying to free up some homeland security money to distribute it to even more people. The tape has even caught the attention of News Station WZZM13, who place it on there web site.

The video includes information about terrorists conducting surveillance, acquiring supplies, and going through trial runs of an attack, and it is based on information used internationally.

"The Air Force intelligence unit has observed these signs that have led up to terrorist attacts such as the one in Saudi Arabia that was against out Air Force personnel at Khobar Towers," says Sergeant Kevin Mark of the Micigan State Police. Mark says they want to send a copy of the video to all first responders in the state, including police, fire and EMS personnel.
