[4]IHSS helps eligible older adults, people who are blind, and people with disabilities live safely at home—instead of in nursing or board-and-care facilities—by paying for in-home help. Recipients must be eligible for or receiving Medi-Cal.

[7]The California Department of Aging (CDA) administers programs that serve older adults, adults with disabilities, family caregivers, and residents in long-term care facilities throughout the State. The Department administers funds allocated under the federal Older Americans Act and the Older Californians Act.
