Mono Youth Coalition Debuts 2023 Photovoice Exhibit

MONO COUNTY, Calif. (February 28, 2023) – Mono County residents and visitors are invited to visit the Mono Youth Coalition’s 2023 Youth Photovoice Exhibit at the Mono Arts Council Gallery (437 Old Mammoth Road, Suite 180). Photovoice is a community-based participatory research method that uses words and images to draw awareness to local public health issues.  Six local student leaders from the Mono Youth Coalition contributed to the Photovoice Project, which focuses on tobacco product waste, and runs through April 23, 2023.

“Our tobacco-free youth activists have worked so hard, and they are excited to share this exhibit with the community,” said Lauren Kemmeter, Community Health Program Coordinator for Mono County Public Health.  “We are grateful to the Mono Arts Council for their collaboration.”

The Mono Youth Coalition’s 2023 Photovoice exhibit is open to the public Thursday through Monday 12:00 P.M- 6:00 P.M.  Confidential, free support is available for people quitting tobacco and nicotine.  Contact Kick It California:
